Applications are invited for Early Stage Researcher
fellowships of up to three years at two participating institutions.
The terms of the contract specify
that applicants must be:

Early Stage researchers,
who are defined as having less than 4 years' experience of
research since gaining a university diploma giving them access
to doctoral studies; |

A national of a Member State of
the EU or of an Associated State or residing in the EU for
at least five years prior to their appointment. Applicants
must not be a national of the country in which the institution
they wish to apply to is based, and they must not have carried
out their normal activities in that country for more than
12 of the 36 months prior to their appointment. Short stays
such as holidays are not taken into account. |
Appointment of researchers to institutions
based in their country of origin is only possible if they have been
active outside the EU or Associated States for more than 4 out of
the last 5 years.
Training provided by the network is targeted
primarily (but not exclusively) at PhD students who have already
undertaken one year’s doctoral training and who are about
to embark on their second year of doctoral studies.
Applicants should send a CV (including
details of 3 referees) and a personal statement in support of their
application to one or more of the following participating institutions
(indicating, if relevant, the names of the other Network institutions
they have applied to):
