| Matt Fullbrook has been Manager of the Clarkson Centre for Business Ethics and Board Effectiveness (CCBE) at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto since 2003. Under his direction, the CCBE has evolved into the central hub of governance research in Canada. The Centre’s projects include ratings of Canada’s largest corporate boards for publication in Canada's national newspaper, the Globe and Mail; Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprise board ratings; an assessment of credit union governance; an analysis of CEO pay/performance linkage from 2004-2010; as well as content development for many of Rotman’s governance education programs. Recently Matt's team at CCBE undertook a timely research study to measure and understand the effectiveness of Canadian boards in the oversight and governance of human capital. Matt is also a partner at Beatty Rowley, a boutique consultancy headquartered in Toronto that consults to boards to assess their governance practices. In this capacity, Matt has delivered customized guidance for boards of multi-national companies across Canada with the common goal of arriving at governance best practices. Throughout the last decade, Matt has worked closely with senior management, legal counsel, and corporate secretaries of publicly listed companies to improve governance practices in Canada to where they are today. |
