Mag. Erich Kandler has been Audit Partner of Deloitte & Touche Austria since 1995. Previously he was a Fulbright Scholar to the United States, completing a Masters Degree in Accountancy and starting his professional career with international accounting firms in the United States and Germany for four years.
He became a certified tax advisor in 1991 and a certified public accountant in 1995 in Austria. In 1986, he was licensed as a certified public accountant in the state of Ohio.
Erich Kandler mainly works on international audits and EDP matters. His work, furthermore, focuses on special financing structures, business valuations, due diligence work, restructuring plans and tax planning for banks.
Internationally, he is the Austrian representative at the Federation of European Accountant’s (FEE), Capital Markets Advisory Group and a member of several subcommittees. Recently he became chairman of the FEE committee preparing guidance on the accountants’ involvement and the reporting on capital market transactions of clients as well as corporate governance matters.
Erich Kandler is an active member at a number of Deloitte & Touche expert groups, including the European Global Strategic Client Management Board and the European IT Directors Committee.
