Chet
Gerdts is the General Counsel of PricewaterhouseCoopers
LLP (“PwC”). He began his legal career with
Donovan Leisure Newton & Irvine in 1978. He became a
partner in 1986 and was with the firm until 1998, when he
joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP. While at
Orrick, Chet served as leader of the litigation practice
and as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.
He left Orrick in October 2002 to assume his role at PwC.
While at Donovan and Orrick, Chet’s litigation practice
was primarily devoted to the areas of securities litigation,
accountants liability, and SEC enforcement matters.
Chet received a B.A. from
the University of Michigan in 1975, and in 1978 received
his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where
he was a member of the Law Review.
